This information resource, provided my Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center, provides evidence-based information about herbs, botanicals, supplements, and more.  Although the original design was for cancer patients, it provides excellent information about herbals and supplements for anyone.


American Cancer Society
Helpful information about the latest cancer research, treatment, and online tools.


Drugs.com
This website has a number of resources including a drug interactions checker, and a pill identifier.  The site also provides "peer-reviewed, accurate and independent data on more than 24,000 prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, and natural products".


FamilyDoctor.org
Site provided by the American Academy of Family Practitioners.  Includes sections that cover Conditions A-Z, Healthy Living, and Health Tools.  Also has a great Parents & Kids section that covers health concerns of children, teenagers, and parents.


FDA
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's website provides a great deal of information on food and drug safety.  This website can be particularly useful for its information on specific drugs, recalls, and safety alerts.


Lab Tests Online
Website designed to help patients and caregivers understand the number of lab tests that are a crucial part of medical care.

Website run by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that contains resources on a wide range of health topics.  Information is

Lots of great information about health and culture including disaster relief information. Free multilingual resource, including audio and video

National Association for Health and Fitness
Offers tools to help promote physical fitness, sports and a healthy lifestyle.


National Cancer Institute
Contains information about different types of cancer, coping strategies, alternative therapies, statistics, clinical trials, support and resources, and cancer stages.



National Institute on Aging Consumer Health Website

Great information on health and aging.  Also great for health exercise videos.


Smokefree.gov
Smokefree.gov is a government-funded website intended to help people quit smoking. This include live chat help, a personalized quit plan, and access to SmokefreeTXT, the National Cancer Institute's text messaging service designed to provide 24/7 encouragement and advice.
